Last week felt like it dragged on and on... and on! I was looking forward to the weekend all week and it did not disappoint. Friday night Darling Husband and I put together my new elliptical machine. We took a break and had a very civilized dinner of Totino's pizza rolls and watched the opening ceremonies of the Olympics.
Saturday we deep cleaned and organized the house - it really needed it. A few of our good friends had just returned from being out of town and I was anxious to be reunited, so we had an impromptu BBQ at our place. We cooked burgers and brats and caught up on everyone's latest adventures - new businesses, babies, the works.
Sunday was as mellow as they come. We slept in and I made a lovely little breakfast that fueled my workout. It's been a long time since I've hit the gym for some cardio and it was made apparent when I couldn't last longer than 30 minutes on the elliptical. How embarrassing! But you gotta start somewhere. Darling Husband and I lounged around and watched the olympics while the weather outside teetered on the brink of thunder storming all day. It was lazy, cozy, and the perfect way to prepare for the coming work week.
